Autignac is surrounded on all
sides by vineyards

The Vines is set on the edge of the charming medieval village of Autignac, which is surrounded on all sides by vineyards. This peaceful, unspoilt village is full of narrow winding lanes to explore. It is a 5 minute stroll from the house to the village square. Here you will find a bakery, butcher's shop (for your BBQ provisions), general store, café/bar/restaurant, pharmacy and a church.

As well as Autignac's bakery, butchers and
general store, market stalls are often set up

Small market stalls are regularly set up in the square for the sale of fresh vegetables and fish. Announcements for these can be heard over the loudspeaker from the local Mayor's office.

The local wine-maker, Jacques Pons lives in the village and you can visit his house for free tastings. Several other wine producers, such as the Moulin de Ciffre, are just a short walk away.

La Boucherie in Magalas,
a treat for carnivores

The neighbouring village of Magalas, 5 minutes drive away, has further amenities. These include a large supermarket, a post-office, two bakeries and three restaurants. One of these is the excellent La Boucherie, a real meat-eaters' paradise. The lively local bar also makes excellent take-away pizza.
